Sean Devereux Memorial Mass Held at St. Joseph Parish Our Lady of Lebanon Catholic Church

Letter from Cletus Noah – Volunteer of Sean

8 Dec 2009

Dear All: On November 29th, 2009, on a bright Sunday morning beneficiaries along with their parents, and parishioners of St. Joseph’s gathered at the St. Joseph Parish for the thanksgiving and memorial Mass for the late Sean Devereux, who turned 45 on Wednesday, November 25th, 2009.   The Mass started at 10:00am, Rev.Fr. Fidelis Agbara was the chief celebrant of the Mass. He told the congregation that the Mass is in thanksgiving and memory of the late Sean Devereux and it was requested by Sean Devereux family in Liberia.

During his sermon Rev. Fr. Fidelis told the congregation who Sean was, what he did as a young man for the people in Liberia and for Africa. He said Sean made appropriate use of his life for the short time he stayed on earth. He was working to change the negative things, for the betterment for the young people and the elderly.

Fr. Fidelis praised the Sean Devereux Children’s Fund UK for the level of support given to Sean Devereux programs in Liberia and cautioned them to do those things in the interest of the young people. Fr. was quick to mention he believed Sean is happy to see his dreams and aspirations live on.

During the Mass beneficiaries of Volunteers of Sean presented gifts in thanksgiving for the support they receive.  Cletus praised parents and beneficiaries for turning out to celebrate the 45th birthday of the person whose foot steps we are imitating.

All Sean Devereux Institutions were represented by their heads and staff members.

Thanks

Cletus Noah
