Please Sponsor Jamie Shawcross and Brian McIlwane Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro

Well…  Some of you might know that in a little less than two weeks time between 22 and 29 March I will be attempting to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, highest mountain in Africa and the highest free standing mountain in the world at just a shade under 6000 metres – what have I let myself in for?   I will be climbing with Brian McIlwaine, whom many of you know, and those that do will know that Brian’s brother Neal died very suddenly last year.  Neal was a huge fan of Africa, and had always been a fan of a particular charity called the Sean Devereux Children’s Fund, and in Neal’s memory Brian and I want to raise as much as we possible can for this organisation, working largely in Liberia on a number of different projects. Neal worked in Somalia with Sean back in 1993 before Sean was killed and knew that the charity set up in his name was and is doing great things.

If you would like to make a donation then I would be thrilled, and I think that the most efficient way to do that is on line, meaning that the charity will benefit from the tax coming back to them.  Please see the link below for how to give to the Charity.

All donations, of any size will be hugely appreciated, and will be used to do really great things and really important things in Liberia.

Thank you for reading, and thank you for your support.  Now the responsibility lies with me to get to the top – rest assured that the only thing that will stop me will be the altitude, the one bit that I can’t train for.  I will send you a piccy from the top!
